BALTIMORE, MARYLAND
CONSERVATORY
The irresistible aroma of fresh roasted coffee and hot croissants drifts from the country kitchen into the heart of this luxurious French Renaissance Conservatory. Work seems a pleasure in such surroundings. . . anchored to the earth and opening to the melodic lilt of songbirds, the warm embrace of the golden sun, and the song of morning rising on the wind. Our client's wanted a conservatory that would be their home office. This conservatory, designed by our Renaissance Conservatories design team, holds an octagonal custom skylight, or glass roof cupola in the center of the addition to bring natural light into the space. The conservatory holds decorative swooping diamond interior/exterior grills in the transoms. This particular conservatory was stained to match the owners existing furniture they had in the home. Designed and built in 1999, the conservatory is still the owner's favorite room in the house, and they commonly refer to it as "their retreat". While this Maryland conservatory was furnished by Renaissance Conservatories, it is possible to use custom skylights to bring light into any new, and conventionally constructed addition.
