3.  Framing Species: Exposed framing to be kiln-dried [select one] [Genuine Mahogany (Swietenia macrophylla), Cedro Mahogany (Cedrela odorata), Western Red Cedar (Thuja plicata), or as otherwise specified]. Some concealed blocking, concealed structural framing, or concealed structural elements may be SPF (spruce, pine, fir) or engineered  lumber.

4.  Doors: Doors and Screen/Storm Doors to be pre-hung by the manufacturer in full depth jambs. Doors to be custom-sized per shop drawings. In-swing door thresholds to be adjustable type, [select one] [mill finish, dark bronze] aluminum with oak rail and interior nosing, as manufactured by Imperial Products, or extruded solid bronze as manufactured by Zero International. Out-swing doors to have non-removable pin hinges and fixed out-swing thresholds, [select one] [mill finish, dark bronze] aluminum with an interior oak stop and nosing as manufactured by Imperial Products, or extruded solid bronze as manufactured by Zero International.

5.  Sash: Sash framing to be hand-selected kiln-dried 1-3/4" x 1-5/8" with a 2-3/16" bottom rail laminated solid lumber to match framing species. Joinery to be mortise and tenon, glued and pinned.
All laminated sash members will be made from (minimum) double 5/4 (nominal) timbers, finish milled to final dimensions. Wood will be pressure laminated for a minimum of eight (8) hours, at a minimum of 70 degrees Fahrenheit, and at a minimum of 50 pounds per square inch (50# psi), utilizing R-14 HV Resorcinol Resin Adhesive as manufactured by National Casein, applied in accordance with the manufacturer's recommended procedures.
Sash to be glazed with a tooled ½" x 5/8" putty profile exterior wood glazing stop and an integral beaded profile wood interior glazing stop.  All sash openings (operating and fixed), and all direct-set openings to have integrated 11/16" (1/4" radius) beaded full surround moldings.
When specified, head jambs to have an integral recessed cavity with a variable height matching beaded valence to house and conceal rolling insect screens or retracting privacy/sun control blinds.  All simulated divided lites to be double-sided tape-applied appliques [select one] [7/8", 1-3/8", custom as specified] tooled putty-like profile exterior and 7/8" beaded profile interior with captured between-the-glass bronze spacer bars, or as otherwise specified.
All true divided lites to be single-glazed with [select one] [7/8", 1-3/8", custom as specified] full-depth [select one] [wood, putty-glazed] stops, or as otherwise specified.
Push-Pull Sash Hardware: When specified, casement and awning hardware to be Renaissance Revival Series solid bronze push-pull operators with thumbscrew keepers, security bar locks, and matching dual sash locks. Finish to b[select one] [brushed brass (2104), oiled bronze (2105), white bronze (0125)], or as otherwise specified.
Roto Gear Sash Hardware: When specified, casement and awning sash to operate on Truth Entrygard System with cast bronze window trim cranks and covers (Model WC100) as manufactured by Rocky Mountain Hardware. Finish to be [select one] [silicone bronze light, silicone bronze dark, white bronze light] or as otherwise specified.
Insect Screens:

[Select one] [rigid, retractable rolling].
Retractable Rolling Insect Screens to be designed to remain in place through the full operating cycle of the sash, and to be concealed behind a variable height integral wood valence when retracted. Screen fabric to be ultra-sheer fiberglass mesh coated with PVC. Housing to have a built-in handle and latching mechanism. Side bar, housing and metal tracking to be finished in baked on enamel in [select one] [Classic White, Rideau Brown, Slivered Almond, Phantom Black, Driftwood Beige] or as specified. Metal tracking shall be fully adjustable, and will be concealed by a  removable wooden cover in a species to match framing.

6.  Operating Roof Vents: Roof vents to be hand selected kiln-dried 1-3/4" (or as otherwise specified) laminated solid  lumber to match framing species. Vents to be exterior clad in [select one] [copper, lead coated copper, aluminum,  Rheinzink, or tern-plated stainless steel] in a finish as specified. Vents to be completely removable from base and to be [select one] [manually operated, motorized] on a continuous ball hinge with removable insect screens.  Motorized Roof Vents: Motor drives for vents weighing up to 90 pounds to be Marvel Power Window System as manufactured by Truth Hardware with [select one] [03-Bronze, 38-White] finish. Motor drives for vents weighing in excess of 90 pounds to be Sentry II HS Motor System as manufactured by Truth Hardware with [select one] [03-Bronze, 23-Chestnut Bronze, 24-Beige, 32-White] finish.
Insect screens to have rigid pre-finished aluminum frames with [select one] [bronze, white, beige] baked enamel painted finish, or custom color powder coat finish as specified.
Insect screen cloth to be [select one] [charcoal aluminum, charcoal vinyl-coated fiberglass, bronze, Gore inLighten  Virtually Invisible] as specified.

7.  Glass: All insulating glass to be [select one] [double, triple] insulating dual seal with a butyl primary seal and a neutral-cure silicone secondary seal. Vertical glass to be clear insulating glass, annealed or tempered as specified. Roof glass to be clear insulating glass, tempered outboard lite, heat-strengthened laminated inboard lite, or as otherwise specified. Custom tints, high performance coatings, inert gas fills and captured air spacers as specified.
If required, [select one] [sloped, vertical, sloped and vertical] glazing to be [select one] [storm impact rated, hurricane certified].

8.  Fasteners: The Manufacturer to provide all fasteners necessary for unit assembly and glazing. Exposed fasteners to  be brass or stainless steel.

10.  Appliques, Trims & Architectural Detailing: From standard offerings or custom as specified.

13.  Roof Caps: Caps to be manufacturer's proprietary 2-part extruded aluminum with snap-in neoprene gaskets in a finish as specified or manufacturer's [select one] [copper-wrapped, lead coated copper-wrapped, aluminum-wrapped, Rheinzink-wrapped, tern-plated stainless steel] wood caps in a finish as specified.

14.  Eaves Detailing: When specified, the exterior eaves to have an integrated rain gutter in [select one] [copper, lead-coated copper, aluminum, lined wood] in a finish as specified.

15.  Flashing and Brake Metals: Supplied flashing and Brake Metals to be [select one] [bronze, white, custom color] baked enamel painted or powder coated aluminum, or [select one] [copper, lead-coated copper, Rheinzink, tern-plated stainless steel].

16.  Glazing Tapes: Supplied glazing tapes to be black preformed cellular type, consisting of a flexible closed cell polyolefin foam substrate with a high performance pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive system on both sides.

17.  Sealants: Supplied sealants to be one-part low modulus neutral cure silicone.

18.  Finish: All [select one] [interior, exterior, interior and exterior] wood surfaces to be factory-primed with one (1) coat of [select one] [clear wood sealer, Ultra-Hide Aquacrylic Gripper Stain Killer Primer Sealer]. All surfaces to be backside primed prior to component assembly.

SIGNATURE REVIVAL SERIES SASH

1.  Sash: Sash framing to be hand-selected kiln-dried 1-3/4" x 1-5/8" with a 2-3/16" bottom rail laminated solid lumber to match framing species. Joinery to be mortise and tenon, glued and pinned.

5.  Glazing Caps: Caps to be manufacturer's proprietary Renaissance Revival Series Narrow-Line [select one] [copper-wrapped, lead coated copper-wrapped, aluminum-wrapped, Rheinzink-wrapped, tern-plated stainless steel-wrapped] wood caps in a finish as specified.

6.  Cresting and Finial Posts: Cresting to be water jet cut 3-dimensional, fully scalable [select one] [copper plate, lead-coated copper plate, aluminum plate] in Renaissance Revival Series proprietary [select one] [High Victorian, Low Victorian, Gothic Spire, Gothic Quadraphile, Gothic Square & Spire, Fleur de Lis, custom as specified] with matching  Renaissance Revival Series copper finial post(s) or custom as otherwise specified.
